Speaking as a self-proclaimed expert on the subject, based upon 42 years of being enchanted by the beaches of Panama Beach City, Florida, I think it's about time I share this "secret" vacation getaway with others.

I recall the very first time I visited Panama City Beach with my family. We stayed at the "all amenities included" Fiesta Motel. We were all in one large room with two double beds, but I thought we were living like royalty!

The swimming pool was four feet from our room . . . the pristine beach was only a few feet further, just beyond the pool. This was truly livin'!

During a recent, relaxing day at the beach, I learned a new take on sandcastles. After spending some leisurely time building a monumental sandcastle with Wesley, I discovered (through his eyes) that it's almost as much fun watching the incoming tide wash it away as the gulf waters reclaim the sand.
